With VAMFF (Virgin Australian Melbourne Fashion Festival) around the corner, we’ve been thinking about all things fashion. Back in the day, our Director Natalie Khoo was a production assistant at Melbourne’s high-profile, high-stakes fashion weeks. Her reminiscing has got us thinking… the backstage world of fashion festivals isn’t too different to our work as digital copywriters:
1. It’s important to balance the big-picture views with the tiny details
It’s a well known fact that fashion shows can be intense environments: whole teams of dressers, makeup artists and hair dressers are simultaneously concentrating on getting every seam straight, every hair locked into place – the tiny details that make an impact. Meanwhile, each look is part of a greater collection, which makes up the overall experience – it too needs to be cohesive.
As your content creators, we play all those roles at once – getting pedantic about word choice and SEO strategy, all while considering how your content will help meet your organisational goals.
2. Our biggest goal is to help your business look its best
Just like that team of dressers and hair and makeup artists, our mission is to present your organisation to your audience in the right way. Strategic and well-written copy can make a huge difference in the way your customers engage with your brand, and drive online sales.
At Avion, we’ve got a passion for fashion (writing). Between us we’ve written copy for:
- Country Road Group (Witchery)
- Cosmopolitan
- Fiber Activewear
- UrbanBar
- Urban Collective Footwear
Till next time,
Alexandra and the Avion team
