Overview
Less than 1% of customers use paper receipts after a purchase. They often end up in the trash. IHR is a new tech startup that created the I Hate Receipts app to scan and digitised paper receipts and then store them in a secure cloud-based vault.
As part of its aggressive growth strategy, IHR needed to not only attract shoppers to use its app, but also appeal to merchants to offer their contactless HD receipts to their customers. Integrating its technology into store POS (point of sale) systems is key to IHR’s success. However, IHR lacked the marketing and communications materials to take their relationships with merchants to the next level. This is where Avion came in—to distil key messaging and create new content that would sing with this particular group.
Process
We wanted to empower IHR to go to market, promote its technology, and drive adoption amongst store owners. As a team, we kicked-off with a strategy workshop. Stakeholders explained their vision, sales process, perceived market challenges, and potential solutions.
We agreed a landing page and whitepaper would help IHR better connect with prospects and collect data. However, it was Avion that mapped out how the landing page would read, and what angle the whitepaper would take. Our copywriters then worked their magic to deliver the pieces. Having worked with many SAAS companies before, we were able to lean into our experience and recommend what content was most critical for merchant engagement.

Results
Within just a few weeks, our copywriters surprised IHR with remarkable first drafts. These were then refined into final versions with stakeholder input. The landing page and downloadable PDF whitepaper is now available for you to review today. Avion is proud of the quality copy we provide. Our deep expertise in financial services combined with experience in tech gave us the perfect skills to partner with IHR seamlessly. IHR is thrilled with the result and its sales team is now out there, talking to brands and enabling others to turn receipts into meaningful conversations.
