Can you believe we’re already a quarter of the way through 2019? You’re welcome. If we haven’t formally met yet, I’m Marion, Avion’s Creative Director. I’ve been part of the Avion crew for a little over a year now and boy, what a roller coaster! I’d love to take a moment to share with you some of the twists and turns – as well as a few valuable learnings – I’ve experienced to give you an insight into the amazing work we do.
HIGHLIGHTS AND KEY PROJECTS
I began my Avion journey as a copywriter working with the incredible team at Suncorp. I honed my digital skills and learnt from some of the best UX brains in the country (how lucky am I?!).
In mid-2018, I had the opportunity to work closely with the inspiring disruptors over at Selfmade. They’re doing some amazing things in the FinTech space and are definitely a brand to watch out for! The highlight of my year was collaborating on a tri-agency website project with the Working with Children Check, Victoria (the results of which will be released soon – stay tuned). I love big digital projects and this one was both a treat to work on and a complex challenge.
BEST THING I’VE LEARNT WHILE AT AVION
Regardless of the platform, good copywriting is so important. It’s way more beneficial to be clear not just clever – if you can do both (like I can, wink) you’ll have a big impact. Not just for your clients, but for the quality of website content in general.
FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
- I teach yoga (at Bikram Yoga Richmond, should you want to come and take a class with me).
- I have a PhD (you can read my thesis online, if you like).
- I used to live in San Diego (I highly recommend a visit, should you be the travelling kind).
