Who writes your copy? Spotlight on… Steph Underhill

OCTOBER 2018 NEWSLETTER

Steph and Harvey

Hi there,

Hope you’re going great!

This month’s newsletter is proudly brought to you by me – Steph Underhill, a copywriter here at Avion. I’ve been part of the team for a little over a year now and in that time have really managed to hone my copywriting skills while working with some excellent clients.

Highlights and key projects

One of the highlights of my time here has to be working with Suncorp for almost a year. I wrote content for a range of different projects including blogs and product pages, and assisted the hugely talented Suncorp team in developing fresh copy for the Vero insurance website.

I also have to include a special shout out to FTS Resolve, a fantastic provider of end-to-end services in the telecommunications and electrical infrastructure space. I loved assisting the FTS team with a brand refresh, and tidying up their online and print marketing materials to help them keep doing great stuff in their industry.

Best thing I’ve learnt while at Avion

Working on a few clients in the financial services sector at Avion has opened my eyes to how careful you need to be when creating content in that space. I’ve learned about how to appease legal teams when it comes to content and SEO, and I’ve familiarised myself with the ASIC guidelines that govern this area.

Fun facts about me

  • I’m a big old book nerd, constantly have a book in my bag and write very casual book reviews.
  • My dog Harvey joins us frequently in the office… though he’s not on the payroll as of yet.
  • I’ve been classically trained in singing… but I’m pretty shy about it. When I sing in the shower I sound great though, trust m.

Thanks for reading and have a really great week!

P.S. I’ve chosen this month’s content tips and tricks – hope you enjoy!
